Inspired by a painting by Caravaggio, The "Cattura di Cristo", the new murals, made with spray cans by Andrea Ravo, visible bricks on one of the pillars at the roundabout in Viale Belforte - Varese (Lombardy), on the way to a famous hypermarket.
Andrea Ravo Mattoni, born in Varese in 1981, comes from a family of artists, if the father Carlo was an artist of conceptual art and behavioral, illustrator and graphic designer, the uncle Alberto under the pseudonym Matal was Lillibeth creator of the character, while the grandfather Giovanni Italo was among the creators of Liebig cards and Lavazza.
Mattoni, after starting in 1995 to paint with spray cans, founded Crew HBM with Vine, then she collaborated with Seacreative, Refreshink, Bags and Kraser and joined the painting course at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera.
In 2003 he founded in Milan the factory "The BAG", a collective of artists with the seat in the Bovisa district, in 2008, after being detached from the collective, he began working as the assistant of Manuela Gandini curator at Artandgallery gallery and in 2010 teamed up with art gallery Silbernagl Undergallery based in Daverio (Vabossa - Varese) and Milan and with the Square23 gallery in Turin.
The murals is part of the Urban Canvas project that in recent years has given the opportunity to artists of international renown of Varese to leave a drawing in their city, as well as having involved writers from all over Europe, thanks to the Association WgArt, Sea Creative, Luigi Vin Semeraro, Etnik, Kraser, Urbansolid and many others.
